Crossroads Brewing Co. launched in April 2016 when founder Jim Kellett, an amateur rugby player himself, served our Summer Ale to coincide with the annual Singapore Sevens rugby tournament. Jim landed in Singapore by way of Canada, where he left behind a successful career in finance to pursue his passion for craft beer. While settling in to his new home, Jim immersed himself in the Lion City’s nascent beer scene, learning about its challenges and prospects, and identifying an opportunity to provide accessible, everyday craft beers with appeal for both dedicated beer enthusiasts and anybody who just enjoys a good, well-made beer.
Jim spent more than a year developing Crossroads Brewing Co., weighing the daunting logistics of building his own brewery against brewing at other, well-established breweries in Southeast Asia. In the end, Jim decided to join the world’s growing ranks of “gypsy brewers” by brewing and packaging his own carefully conceived recipes at host facilities in Hong Kong and Cambodia, then sending the finished brews back to Singapore.
Since debuting with the Summer Ale, our brewery has added a lager, session IPA, and ciders to our core range. We remain fierce advocates of all-natural, high-quality craft beer, and are dedicated to brewing beer that makes our hometown proud.
We brew craft beers that we want to drink, so for us that means hitting the crossroads between depth and drinkability. To do so, we fine-tune our recipes to produce high-quality beers that are big on flavor, low on bitterness, and designed to complement Singapore’s intense heat and humidity.
Our signature beers and ciders are brewed year-round in small batches at leading craft breweries in Hong Kong and Cambodia under the careful direction of our founder, Jim Kellett. We use premium grains, hops, and yeasts sourced from Australia, the US, the UK, and across Europe—no preservatives, no additives, nothing but all-natural ingredients.
Crossroads Brewing Co. has earned the support of many of Singapore’s leading bars and restaurants, from such notable beer bars as TAP Craft Beer Bar and Malthouse to popular eateries like The Bird Southern Table & Bar and New Ubin Seafood. Our beers are available by the bottle and on draft, and are best enjoyed fresh, chilled, and among friends.
